The rustic French surrounds with chunky wooden tables & lots of delicious foodstuffs on display make this Mayfair restaurant 'look very inviting from the outside'. The daily-changing menu has a firmly Gallic slant with the likes of quiches & pâté & an enticing selection of freshly baked cakes & pastries. All-day opening is a bonus & the place never struggles to pull in punters.
The place is a minor work of art. Take the drinks. As well as the usual Gallic intoxicants, there are some interesting additions such as Pineau by the glass. Everything has been carefully thought through.
On our arrival we were warmly greeted by the staff. The house red was smooth and the house white was clean and fresh, and by the time we finished with a shared dark chocolate brownie it was clear that we could have chosen anything on the menu and received the same level of excellence.
